Leave it on the Mat – 10 week series // Thursdays 18:00-19:30PM at Wake-Up Yoga
Introducing a new weekly Embodiment class (notice I didn’t say Yoga), to support you in… Leaving it ALL on the Mat!
Unlike my other classes, this offering is a set series for a group of maximum 7 participants. It’ll guide you from mid-October through to the Holiday Season (and in case we all love it, we will pick it back up early 2021 – for goodness, with everything else feeling up in the air at least we can rely on each other… and our mats holding us up!)
Are you finding yourself…
🙋🏻♀️ tired of screens
👯 in need of human interaction & togetherness (deepening intimacy as a group, no surprise newbies and drop-ins!)
🧚🏼 craving to explore new ways of movement and connecting with your Self
🧘 wishing to go deeper into your practice
🙃 looking to have a safe space to release, be silly, be YOU
✍ struggling to implement a routine with practices that you know support you (weekly expressive writing is a key component of our time together!)
🎁 overwhelmed with choices and options, and looking to commit to a weekly moment to put your own needs first
🎵seeking the sweetness of poetry, intuitively moving to music, completely dropping into the present moment
💆🏾♀️ wishing to be sweeter to yourself, and curious about how self-massage can be of support
Nodding your head yes to the above? Wonderful!
This offering is for a select group of hue-mans who are ready to pour back into themselves in a new way. Our weekly classes will build on the previous and are inspired by your requests and wishes.
You’ll be offered many new tools to slow down and release, to self-regulate and empty out after a full-on day, week, month, or…2020!
Allow yourself to be seen and held, as you surrender to a container of intuitive explorations. The only thing that’s set is the dates, time, and us – as a group – exploring various modalities to….. “leave it on the mat”
Curious about some of the modalities we will explore? How about:
Qi Gong, Yin and Restorative Yoga
Cord Cutting/Centering practices
Expressive Writing/Journalling using prompts
Pairing movement, Self-Massage with mantra affirmations
Spontaneous and Intuitive Movement
Laughter (all emotions are welcome, tears will flow – whether induced by laughter, new insights, or the softening of your tender heart)
Aromatherapy for mood management and energetic clearing
Pranayama practice (Breathwork)
Finding physical and emotional space through Self-Myofascial Release, using balls, blocks, and dowels
Time + Location
We will meet weekly from 18:00-19:30PM (doors open 17:45 and close strictly at 18:00, please be on time to respect all in attendance)
This class takes place at Wake-Up Yoga, at the Piet Heinstraat 98 in The Hague. We have acces to plenty of supportive props at the studio, you are asked to bring two cleanly washed pillow cases and a big beach towel or blanket to class. These can be used to cover bolsters/pillows and keep you warm during slower parts of our practice.
*~ In case of new government restrictions, we’ll move this offering online and decide as a group what content and container feels most supportive to feel seen and supported.
15, 22, 29 October
